Don Chakerian received his Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley in 1960 and is now Professor of Mathematics at the University of California at Davis. He is an active member of the MAA, having served in the Visiting Lecturers Program, on the Committee for the Putman Prize Competition, and on the editorial committee for the collection “Selected Papers on Precalculus,” published by the Association in 1977.
