Washington, D.C., February 23, 2022 – The Mathematical Association of America (MAA), the world’s largest community of mathematicians, students and enthusiasts, today announced a new partnership with Citadel and Citadel Securities to increase student interest in pursuing mathematics education and careers in related industries. With a belief that mathematics drives society and shapes our lives, the MAA aims to advance the understanding of mathematics and its impact on our world at all levels of study and learning.
Leadership support from Citadel and Citadel Securities will expand the reach of the MAA, with a particular focus on increasing the number of women and minority students who participate in mathematics and pursue STEM-related careers. Support will fund student participation in MAA programs, including the American Mathematics Competitions.
