Here are some answers to the questions you might have about the MAA AMC registration process.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please see our Competition Manager Registration Guide for step-by-step information.

To enhance flexibility and efficiency for competition managers, you will now register for the AMC 10 and/or AMC 12 overall, then distribute student licenses between the A and B dates as needed. Student licenses will automatically be added to the AMC 10 A or AMC 12 A competition portal, so if you only plan to host the A version you do not need to do anything after registration.

If you plan to have the same students take both the A and the B versions of the AMC 10 or AMC 12, please keep in mind that this will require two licenses per student, and plan your bundle count accordingly.

If you’ve created a new account or added a new institution to affiliate with, the “Registration” button will not appear until you are approved. Reply to the emailed request for documentation ASAP; you should be vetted within three days of responding. The “Registration” option will then appear in the top menu.

Contact amcinfo@maa.org or call 1-800-527-3690 if you still don’t see the link after that timeframe. You also need to be added as a competition manager at your institution to see the “Registration” option. If you didn’t check the “Competition Manager” box during account creation, click the “Change” button next to your details on your profile, check the “Competition Manager” box at the bottom, and then save.

Once you have added one competition to your shopping cart, click “Registration” in the top menu bar and complete the process again to add a second competition. Your previous orders will remain in your cart until you delete them or check out.

Spanish and French translations are complimentary and don’t need to be purchased separately. You can download them as PDFs along with the English version and a Simplified Chinese translation in your competition administration portal.

Please contact the MAA AMC Help Desk between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET at 1-800-527-3690 or via email at amcinfo@maa.org. You must order by the Regular Registration deadline.

This means that we have not yet received payment for the first invoice you generated with the registration fee. Please wait until that invoice is paid before adding on more bundles in order to avoid a duplicate fee.

Contact the MAA AMC Help Desk between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET at 1-800-527-3690 or via email at amcinfo@maa.org.

You can pay online directly with a credit card or generate an invoice that can be paid by check or bank transfer. We no longer offer the option of completing payment after the competition date; registration fees must be paid before students can be registered and approved for the competition on the AMC platform.

Go to your profile page by clicking the person icon in the upper right-hand corner of the page, then select “Orders” from the menu on the left. You can view all your orders, but note that you won’t see orders placed by other competition managers at your institution. Use the tabs to navigate between paid and unpaid orders.

Please be aware that unpaid invoices will be deleted from the system at the end of a cycle.

Due to the large volume and short timeline for competition registration, we cannot process partial refunds for bundle orders.

Everyone who creates an account and checks the “Competition Manager” box will receive two emails: a welcome to the MAA Portal for MAA membership (now complimentary with MAA AMC registration) and a welcome to the MAA AMC Registration Portal, where you can register for the MAA AMC and manage your institution affiliations and orders.

If you didn’t receive the second email and you did check the “Competition Manager” box, please check your spam folder. Contact amcinfo@maa.org for further assistance if you still cannot find the email.

Please note that AMC Registration fees must be paid in full before competition managers are granted access to the Competition Administration Portal. You must also ensure you are using the email address that was used during registration to log in, if you have multiple email accounts.
