About the Author: (from The College Mathematics Journal, Vol. 10, No. 1 (1978)) Richard Plagge has taught at Manteno High School, Manteno, Illinois, and is currently an instructor in Mathematics at Highline Community College, Midway, Washington, where he has been since 1967. He earned his B.S. in Education at Illinois State in 1962 and his M.S. in Mathematics at Western Washington State College in 1967.
