High School Teachers

Over almost a century, MAA has provided high school teachers with high quality classroom resources.  MAA's first journal, the American Mathematical Monthly, was originally conceived as a resource for high school teachers, and the roots of the MAA American Mathematics Competitions (AMC) began more than 70 years ago.  Most recently, the Association began an initiative to map AMC problems to the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics (CCSS-M) and to provide new classroom materials focused on problem solving activities aligned with the CCSS-M.  The materials available through the menu on the left represent efforts of members committed to improving teaching and learning.  We invite you to explore these for your own use and to join MAA and contribute to the efforts as well.

AMC Resources consists of material for teachers, parents and students to help with mathematical problem solving and to prepare for the MAA American Mathematics Competitions (AMC).
