Mathematical Visualization Toolkit

A suite of applets for the standard undergraduate mathematics curriculum. Available for download or online web-browser use. Several applets can be opened within the environment simultaneously, like windows. Extensive help files online. Includes the following. 1) A powerful graphing calculator, in two and three dimensions, including polar, cylinderical and spherical coordinates, contours, vector fields (including ODE and gradient), parametric and implicit plotting. Also plotting of datasets and graphing of ODE integration. Ability to rotate, zoom and examine plots by snapping to axes. 2) Numerical integration and root finding. 3) Linear algebra including solving systems, finding eigenvectors, inverses, and standard decompositions. 4) A basic calculator with square roots and memory. 5) Applets aimed at demonstrating specific concepts in the classroom. Topics: polar coordinates, tangent slider, Riemann sums, lengths of curves, solids of revolution, Taylor series, Fourier series, Fourier transform, cylindrical coordinates, spherical coordinates, vector valued functions, root finding, 2D matrix mapping, unit circle, min max, interpolation, data plotter, vector plotter.
