Giulio Carlo di Fagnano (1682-1766) was an Italian mathematician. He was noted for his work on determining the length and division of arcs of various curves with a special focus on the lemniscate. In his Produzione Matematiche (2 volumes, 1750), he discussed his work and established a foundation for the study of elliptical integrals.
