• The Council on Higher Education Accreditation provides what is arguably the most over-arching look at accreditation issues, and also maintains a directory of regional accrediting organizations.
• The Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation maintains standards for teacher preparation programs.

• The American Chemical Society provides recommendations for chemistry programs.

• ABET maintains resources for assessment and criteria for accreditation for engineering departments.
