Math Teachers' Circles Workshops
Math Teachers' Circles can be powerful vehicles for engaging middle school teachers in authentic mathematical experiences that will ultimately impact their understanding and teaching of mathematics. The American Institute of Mathematics (AIM) announces two workshops for teams of mathematicians and teachers who are interested in beginning their own Math Teachers' Circle. Applications are now being accepted and are due by Friday, April 15, 2011. Application forms and instructions can be found here.

AMC Contests
The MAA's 2011 AMC 10 and AMC 12 contests were adminstered to thousands of high school students worldwide in February. Over 11,000 high-scoring students will be invited to compete in the second-level American Invitational Math Exam, held in March, on the way to the USA Mathematical Olympiad. Watch for results and statistics for all the AMC contests on the AMC webpage.

MAA Search for Executive Director and Treasurer
The Executive Committee of the Mathematical Association of America seeks candidates for the position of Executive Director to succeed Dr. Tina Straley, who will retire in December 2011 after twelve years of outstanding service. Read more.

The MAA is seeking candidates for the position of Treasurer on the Association's Executive Committee, to succeed John Kenelly and serve up to two five-year terms. Read more.
