Tweet a Prime Every Hour...

Writing for Scientific American's Roots of Unity blog, Evelyn Lamb uses the prime counting function to determine when a certain Twitter user will find his or her schtick constrained by the 140 character limit.

Every hour on the half hour, the Twitter account @_primes_ tweets the next prime number. At 1:30 PM on February 20, for example, it tweeted 31397. Lamb wondered when Twitter’s 140 character limit would prevent @_primes_ from tweeting the next prime, and she walks readers through how she answered the question.
