2009 MAA Officer Election Results

June 8, 2009

The election for MAA officers concluded on May 29, 2009, and the winners are:

President-elect: Paul Zorn
First Vice-President: Francis Edward Su
Second Vice-President: Douglas Ensley

The MAA thanks all of the candidates who ran for office. They are valuable and dedicated member-volunteers of the MAA and make the Association a strong, welcoming, and collegial organization.  Thanks also to the members of the Nominating Committee, chaired by Secretary-Elect Barbara Faires, for the fine job they did in inviting such a strong group of candidates.

The President-elect will serve for one year in that office, beginning his term after the Joint Meetings in January 2010.  That is followed by a two-year term as President, which in turn is followed by a one-year term as Past-President.

The newly elected Vice-Presidents will serve two-year terms, beginning after the Joint Meetings in January 2010.

A total of 3,076 votes were cast.
