MAA Found Math 2014 - Week 50

Found by Joseph E. Fields, members of the Southern Connecticut State University Math Club built a very large (about 20 feet across opposite vertices) model of an icosahedron for the recent Northeastern section fall meeting which was held on their campus.

This photo shows the frame, in which one can see a set of mutually orthogonal golden rectangles that brace the interior of the structure.
